Grant Application

Dear Friends,

Humboldt Sponsors is now accepting grant applications for the current year. The intent of our program is to provide support for activities and programs to benefit local youth. Humboldt Sponsors' grants are to be used exclusively for Humboldt County Children. We cannot fund salaries.

First-time applicants, as well as former applicants, please note that your application must be postmarked by Friday, February 10, 2012. Funding decisions will be completed before May 7, 2012.

Our application form may be downloaded at www.humboldtsponsors.org for your convenience. The application and nine copies of your application must be postmarked no later than Friday, February 10, 2012. The website also contains the checklist to review before mailing. Please read all information carefully to be sure your application is considered.

Please note:
In order for your request for funds to be considered, you must provide:
1)  Your 501-(c)-(3) letter, or that of your umbrella agency  AND 
2)  A "letter of authorization" for its use.
Also, please enclose the original application materials (signed application form, narrative, project budget, and additional information), PLUS nine (9) copies of these application materials.

If you are awarded this grant, you will be obliged to provide Humboldt Sponsors with a detailed report as to the distribution of the grant money. All information provided is kept confidential. The deadline for this report is September 7, 2012, or as soon as possible after your camp, project, or activity session is complete. Should this report deadline not be met, you will not be eligible to apply the following year.
